At least two Jamaican reggae acts, Chronixx and Charly Black, are making stops in Africa as part of their summer tour schedule. Chronixx landed in Kenya on Tuesday ahead of his show at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi City on Saturday. This stop in Africa, which forms part of his Chronology World Tour is organised by Kiza and Homeboyz Radio in collaboration with KICC.
This is the second time the Jamaican singer will perform in front of his Kenyan fans. Meanwhile, Charly Black is headed to Zimbabwe for his stop on the continent. The August 4 performance is set for the Longcheng Plaza in that country’s capital Harare.
This will be Charly Black‘s second time performing his music in Zimbabwe. He first performed there in 2015 and is said to have made an impact that he was invited back to perform there on June 2, but that didn’t materialise as he missed his connecting flight into the country.
The organisers said they crafted the event after being inspired by a massive public demand shown by the Jamaican singer’s followers in the country.
“His fans showed great interest in the show, back in June, and they still do. We have decided to invite Black once again, but this time around he will be playing at a much bigger space, the Longcheng mall grounds, not indoors,” said one of the promoters.
