Jamaican singer Alaine Laughton has joined the bandwagon of celebrities to have turned their lives around becoming a born-again Christian. The Favourite Boy hitmaker shared the news with her fans on social media expressing her joy of being baptized at the Pure in Heart Ministries International church.
This is what she had to say about her new life:
“Best Saturday morning everrrrrrrrr!!!!! I LOVE GOD sooooo much!!!! I got baptized this morning.. and what a JOY!!!!!! Behold I do a new thing; now it shall spring forth.. shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.(Isaiah 43:19) #BrandNew #WaterBaptized thank you to @ryanmark1 my pastor and my @pureinheartministriesintl family @iamcamilledavis thank you I love you my sister.. #Journey #Givethanks #IsayYesLord#JesusisLord #yaaaaaaayyyyy #Joyinmysoul”
It is however not yet clear whether she will now ditch the secular love songs that she is famous for and start singing gospel reggae songs. In March last year she collaborated with gospel artiste Willy Paul for the song I Do that was a big hit.
